Mrs. Mayer's Second Grade Class

Welcome to Mrs. Mayer's 2007-2008 second grade class in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

Second Grade is an exciting time as your child learns new skills, makes new friends and embarks on many new adventures through the world of reading. In Second Grade your child will blossom into a confident reader, writer and mathematician.

Mission Statement

Our Class operates as a team. Utilizing this concept allows the children to learn how to work with others, build on each other's ideas, and learn that everyone has something to contribute. We support every effort no matter how small. Failure will not be an option because we will help each other until everyone succeeds.

The class is empowered to be leaders and be responsible for their learning and character. Building self esteem and confidence are the first steps for any individual to become successful. Children are encouraged to believe in each other and their own ideas. We strive to celebrate every success and appreciate individual strengths and differences.
